Year 10 Design and Technology – Jewellery Craft
After not running for 3 years, Jewellery Craft has re-emerged and the students have been making some amazing things!
This semester, students were taught how to manipulate metal, the tools and techniques required to do this as well as how to integrate contemporary jewellery techniques (laser cutting and CAD) to create unique, one-off and innovative pieces.
Their inspiration was drawn from the main design movements of the twentieth century. They used motifs and design features relevant to the movement, with their own modern twist to create statement pieces that would be sold at a jewellery gallery in Melbourne.
