Sir Edward Weary Dunlop
7D1 went on an excursion on the 2nd of May to see the statue of Edward Weary Dunlop and to also learn about his achievements.
We went through the city via Metro trains. We paid our respects to the legendary Sir Dunlop. Our amazing coordinators Mr Molenaar and Mrs Shaw assisted us in learning more about him and why our house today is called Dunlop and we also learnt the great history behind him.
They had also told us a few of his characteristics which everyone looked out for such as putting others before himself, and his self sacrificing spirit. Due to Edward Weary Dunlop we are the house it is today. On behalf of Dunlop we would like to thank this man for all that he has done.
