Strathmore Secondary College Celebrates Outstanding VCE Results
The Strathmore school community is delighted to congratulate the 2017 VCE graduates on their outstanding results and to recognise the time and effort expended by them, their teachers and their families throughout the year.
VCE scores are one measure of a school’s success. We are delighted to be able to report that 3 of our students achieved scores of over 99: the top ATAR was 99.45, followed by a 99.25 and one of 99.15.
Further, 20 students achieved scores of over 95; 18% over 90 and 38% over 80.
One perfect score of 50 was achieved.
Equally exciting was the achievement of the class of 2017 of the average of 32 in their study scores with 9% of these being 40 or above. To put this in perspective, across all school sectors (Government, Independent and Catholic) the average study score is 30 with 8 % of these being in the band of 40 and above.
As ever, this year has been challenging and enjoyable. I thank the Strathmore community for its support and willingness to contribute in many ways to the success of the school and take this opportunity to wish you a relaxing and well-earned break.
