Northern Entry
The area between the two main buildings of the school was for more than forty years a rectangle of asphalt. With the northern entry, the area acted as a netball court and was used as such for sport and Physical Education. The only item found in the space was a bench seat running along the wall of the main building.
This changed in 1998. Kate Cuillty and Simon Thornton worked together to develop a plan for the replacement of the asphalt rectangle by an attractive, tree lined, recreational area for students. In these photographs we see the design, the physical transformation getting underway and the contribution the space now makes to the feel of the college. |
