International Student Program
We feel that the opportunity to meet and work with students from other countries is an extremely important one for our students. Theirs is an increasingly global society and as a school we need to foster international links.
Strathmore Secondary College has been part of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development’s International Student Program since its introduction. We have had many overseas students enrol at the College from a variety of countries including China, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Korea and Indonesia. These students usually come for more than 2 years, and complete their VCE before going onto University in Melbourne. Students from various countries in Europe and South America also enrol at Strathmore Secondary College, usually through the Study Abroad program offered by the Department’s International Division. These students usually come for a 6 month or yearlong experience of Victorian schooling. Strathmore offers a range of opportunities and support (see link) and will arrange home stays for a smooth transition into the Australian schooling system. We welcome students from all countries to apply for enrolment. Katlyn Nguyen
