Mrs Jillian English (+61 3 ) 9379 7999 We live in an increasingly global society, therefore as a school we encourage international links. The opportunity to meet and work with students from other countries is extremely important for our students.
Strathmore Secondary College has been part of the Department of Education and Training International Student Program since its introduction. Our International Student Program is highly regarded. It fosters international links with students from many countries. We enrol students from China, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Korea and Turkey. These students usually come for more than 2 years and complete their VCE before going onto various universities in Melbourne. Students from various countries in Europe and South America also enrol at Strathmore Secondary College, usually through the Study Abroad program offered by the Department’s International Division. These students enrol for a 6 month or yearlong experience of Victorian schooling. Strathmore Secondary College seeks to foster the intellectual growth of students by developing their sense of worth and promote their sense of responsibility. We aim to instil our school values in all students:
The International Student Program has been running at Strathmore Secondary College for over 20 years. Students are enrolled from Years 10 - 12, ranging from 15 to 18 years of age. Strathmore Secondary College offers a range of opportunities and support (click to open) and will arrange homestays for a smooth transition into the Australian schooling system.
