Dunlop Central Australia
The Dunlop Central Australia Camp occurred between June 22nd -30th. There were 38 students who began this adventure that involved many days on the bus and early starts but the reward of exploring the Northern Territory and its magnificent sites made it all worth it.
Some of the highlights include:
- Sleeping in a cave
- Riding a camel
- Amazing walks (there was a lot of walking)
- Camping in minus 6 degrees……
- Holding some lizards
- Didgeridoo playing
- Kings Canyon
- Socialising and laughing with one another (most of the time)
- Enthralling Uno games
However I think the highlight for all of us was Uluru and discovering its amazing stories and exploring the vastness of it surrounds. I would like to thank the teachers for giving up their personal time and support as well as the students for their contributions to the camp such as packing, cooking and cleaning. I would also like to thank Rockleigh Tours for providing us with an amazing camp.
