Burnet Orientation Camp
On Wednesday the 24th of February Team Burnet packed up the suitcases and sleeping bags and headed south for our annual orientation camp at Anglesea.
We weren’t long off the bus before all students were busy riding bikes through the bush, hanging ten in the surf, canoeing on the Anglesea river, navigating their way around the high ropes course or scaling the climbing wall at Camp Wilkin.
Accompanied by the cream of the crop in terms of teacher team instructors and our enthusiastic and committed Year 10 leaders, the new Year 7 students bonded well with our returning Year 8 students to make the best of the brilliant weather and the activities on offer.
The students were encouraged and supported to try new things, challenge themselves and form new relationships with their peers and, from all reports, they had fantastic time doing it.
Thank you to the students and teachers who were involved and to our Burnet parents for continuing to support us.
Ms Duke, Miss Trahar, Mr Roberts.
