Year 11 Wellbeing Ball
August 4 and 11, 2018
All white on the night!
From mid-afternoon the limos swept into the Melrose Melbourne driveway, emitting gaggles of young men and women, dressed to the nines, and excitedly looking forward to their special night ahead. Finally, after weeks of preparation, hours spent in the gym learning the dances and hours spent getting ready, the Year 11 Wellbeing Ball began.
The girls were resplendent in white gowns of tulle, satin, pearls, diamantes, hair coifed, makeup done to perfection. The boys looked dapper and sophisticated attired in black formal dinner suits. The couples swirled around the dance floor, impressing very proud parents, grandparents and friends with their well-rehearsed synchronised dancing. The sounds of the M1 College Big Band added to the spectacle.
Thank you to Gayle Sharpe and Andrew Elliott of DebutantesonHigh, for their dancing and organising expertise. Many thanks must go to the staff of the Wellbeing Team, Jill English, Principal and the teaching staff who supported the event and made it possible.
