Year 11 Transition to VCE Camp
On Thursday the 4th of February, our year 11 students travelled to Federation University in Ballarat to make their official transition into VCE. The students along with their coordinators and teachers stayed the night in Ballarat and participated in a range of activities to prepare them for the challenges of the final two years of their secondary education. Activities included, yoga, mindfulness, study skills strategies, bushwalking, growth mindsets, and a careers and goal setting session with Ms Lauren Zovi. On our return to school on Friday the students were exhausted, but that little more prepared for the years ahead.
“The mindfulness was very nice. I also loved the yoga. The careers work with Ms Zovi was great, she is always very motivating and inspiring” Elmore
“I enjoyed the study skills program. It was great. I found it really helpful. My second favourite activity was the yoga because of how much it relaxed me and got me started for the day.” Navini
“I really enjoyed meeting new people who are not in my classes, especially as I am new to the school. The dinner was yummy, great salad! It was also great to learn new skills for studying and strategies for coping with stress at VCE.”Gypsy
