Throughout the Outdoor Ed unit everything we did was working up to the Wilson’s Prom 4 day hiking trip, so we were all excited to be finally going. The weather forecast wasn’t looking so good but we had packed and repacked our bags so many times the night before and we were determined to go. We left school early on Tuesday morning and arrived at “the prom” at lunchtime. The drive in was quite an eye opener, there were so many burnt trees, but everything was regerminating. We arrived at the Tidal River Campsite and set up our tents with Christian and Timm setting up three in 20 minutes. The rest of the day was spent around Tidal River exploring and later making our dinner and despite washing our Trangias many times, our meals were still marinated in Metho.
