Issues related to young people and driving are continually being highlighted through various mediums, such as newspapers and TV, Federal, State and Local government departments and the RACV. In response to these concerns students undertake a unit of pre-driver education as part of the Year 10 Human Relations course.

Over the eight weeks students develop their knowledge and understanding of road rules, address the risks of driving with an emphasis on the 16-25 year old driver and examine the following issues – road trauma, unlicenced driving, risk taking, fatigue, speeding, alcohol and other drug use and their effects on driving.
