ENROLMENT PROCEDURE

Enrolment at Strathmore Secondary College is directed by Government policy. The Victorian Department of Education has recognised that the College does not have the ability to satisfy the high demand that exists for positions. As a result the Regional Director has put in place an enrolment ceiling. This means that Strathmore has a limited capacity to enrol students from beyond its neighbourhood boundary or zone.

Year 7 Enrolments

We put a lot of time into ensuring that the transition process is smooth for all new students. It is important to us that we work with primary schools to gather information that will assist us in providing resources and programs for all levels of ability. We test all incoming Year 7 students in mathematics, English comprehension and spelling to better provide for their level of understanding.

Enrolment application forms are available directly from government primary schools or from our main office for families with a child at an independent primary school.

Grade Six children at government primary schools should forward their applications to the College via their primary school.

All other applications should be forwarded directly to Enrolments, Strathmore Secondary College, Pascoe Vale Road, Strathmore, VIC 3041

Year 7 Curriculum Grounds Applications

If you do not fall within the College's neighbourhood boundary, you may still apply for enrolment on curriculum grounds on the basis that your child has a strength in at least one of these areas: Maths, Science, Music or Sport. To do this you must collect a Curriculum Grounds Application Form from our main office or download it (below) and submit to the College alongside the official enrolment application form.

Year 8-12 Enrolments

Changing schools can be an anxious time for many students and parents and we endeavour to provide appropriate support networks.

To apply for a position in Years 8-12 you must collect a form from our main office or download the enrolment application form (below) and submit it - at your earliest convenience - with a photocopy of the student's most recent school report.
